Examination/Assessment Policy

CLASSES: PRE NUR TO II

There will be no formal examination for classes Pre Nur. to Prep. Instead, students will undergo continuous and comprehensive assessment throughout the year.

CLASSES: III TO X

In keeping with CBSE policy which stresses on Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation System during the academic year, the students of class III to VIII will be assessed on the following pattern :

There will be two terms of examination. First term (April – September) will have FA I, FA II & SA I. Second Term (October – March) will have FA III, FA IV & SA II.

 

  • Every term will have two cycles of Monday Test. FA I is based on the projects/work assigned during summer vacations. The average of two Monday cycles conducted in term I will be taken as FA II. SA I will be held in the month of September.
  • For class III – VIII : FA III is based on the projects/work assigned during winter vacations. The average of two Monday cycles conducted in term II will be taken as FA IV.  SA II will be held in the month of March.
  • For class IX & X : The average of two Monday cycles conducted in term II will be taken as FA III. FA IV is based on PSA conducted by CBSE.  SA II will be held in the month of March.

  • Please note that Monday tests are very important. No absentee will be allowed to re-appear for the Monday test. Zero marks will be awarded to the absentee. Absenteeism is granted only to the late admissions or for the emergency on medical terms. In case of medical emergency, medical certificate has to be submitted along with the leave application.

CLASSES:  XI and XII

The examination schedule for these two classess will be based on Unit test(Monday Test) and Half yearly examinations. There will be 2 UT conducted and 2 main exams (half Yearly and Annual exams) for Class XI . In Class XII however, 1 Ut and 2 main Exams (Half Yearly and Preboards) will be conducted before Feb 2015. Unit Test (UT) in both classes will comprise of 40 marks and main exams will be as per the CBSE set performa.
